KCN Events: Intensive Apostolic Encounter 2007 Report

This year’s Intensive Apostolic Encounter (IAE) was a major event. It was the first time that the event had been restricted to Senior Elders and their spouses. We had 27 nations and 103 senior elders represented in Trinidad & Tobago and a total of 176 persons in attendance. All the members of the Apostolic Core team were present and also all our Senior Development Coordinators (SDCs). IAE 2007 was configured to allow for a direct speaking into the leadership of the Congress and its Kingdom communities.
The week began with an equally unprecedented event. “Super Sunday” was the name given to the historic gathering of all the Kingdom communities in Trinidad & Tobago, along with all the participants of this year’s IAE. There were approximately 1,800 persons gathered for an all-day event that included worship led by the Precision Centre Worship team, a Congress WBN sector display, a Marketplace where KC members sold their goods, Covenant Supper and a mini-concert that closed off the day. The Apostolic Core team members and the SDCs were given an opportunity to speak to the people. For most gathered, this would have been the first time that they would have seen and heard from many of the SDCs.

Super Sunday was like a microcosm of the entire Congress with its many regions represented and its leaders gathered under the headship of the Apostolic Core Team. There was a clear sense of the unity that exists at the core of our world and the power of the Kingdom to supersede cultural, racial and ethnic differences to make us truly one tribe (See IAE 2007 and Super Sunday movie in the Multimedia Briefs section).
Though all the TT KC’s and EC were there, you could not see where one began and another ended…It was a joy and a beauty to behold. It has been described by some as a partial fulfillment of Psalm 133. In fact, it is difficult to stop talking about SUPER-SUNDAY as it became a point of reference by speaker after speaker in the ensuing week of the encounter (The KCN UK IAE participants).
The rest of the week was spent downloading the spiritual emphases brought to us in the Sacred Season and unveiling the inner workings of the Apostolic Core at the centre of our world. God was able to create portals of sight for the Senior Elders allowing them to come a deeper understanding of the nature of the season and a clearer sight of the values and position that run our world.
Two words that stood out were “visual and vocal”. We saw Doc’s heart as never before. He went outside of his ministry travels to speak about his family as he spoke about his father. A lot came out of him when he shared. Not just the apostle, but the man. It was an unveiling of the man’s heart. I felt as if he was pleading with us to manifest the full dimensions of the Congress (Rudolph Mitchell – Senior Elder, KCN Trinidad & Tobago).
Even beyond the formal sessions, the values of the Congress could have been seen in every dimension of the IAE environment.
The staff [Elijah Centre members who volunteered to service the IAE] at the Milner hall [the name of the dormitory where the IAE participants were housed] was amazing…the sacrifice…how people can work overtime without complaining…no salary…it touched my heart …brought humility… (Foday Karpeh – Senior Elder KCN West Africa, Liberia).
These are just a few of the comments made by some of the participants. They indicate that the impact of the IAE was not informational. It was directed at shifting heart positions and inspiring greater levels of personal death and commitment inside the hearts of us all. These spiritual transactions are what give us greater authority with God to build His purposes in the earth.
More feedback has been posted in the Multimedia Briefs section for you to listen to and consider. The impartation from the IAE is now being packaged and sent out to the various coordinators around the world. They will be required to gather all Senior Elders within their regions for viewing and discussing the content of the IAE. This is to ensure that everyone within our world understands clearly the nature of the season that God has brought us to.
We must not exit this season without all of us understanding how God wants to change in our hearts and the new positions we must all now occupy through a more profound personal death process.
